PRESIDENT: - "Several months ago, a small, obscure comet - comet Freya ... passed through the earth's orbit. Debris from the comet's tail has carried a deadly virus into our atmoshere. This virus has contaminated the food we eat, the water we drink, the very air that we breathe."
Thats what the president reported on a live broadcast two years ago...
But it was a lie. I found the truth now. It was all a ploy by the Government to keep the Niave President and the world calm. They'd be sitting with an uprise if they hadn't weaved this lie.
I am Cooper Grimley... Last names aren't important anymore in my world. Neither are full names so just Coop will do. This is my Diary and my account of the truth.
Every Adult in the City has died. The Virus has spread faster than expected and we believe that some part of the world if not the whole world is Adultless too. I am the only living adult in the city at the age of 22. I lead a group of children and teenagers called the Elite and I plan to restore order to this wrecked place but I can't do it alone.
Back to the virus. After considrable research I have gathered these conclusions...
The virus was essentially one of these experiments of an anti-aging breakthrough drug that went drastically wrong. It ended up spreading like wildfire when people got to a certain age.
The symptoms and effects took over the body really quickly. They would get headaches and body aches, their skin would go wrinkly, hair turn grey, some would end up so sick they would break out in lesions. They would basically end up dying of old age, except they were still very young in years. And the worst part was - it killed all the adults in the world. No-one was immune. And so the children had to fend for themselves.
And what happens in a world of no adults..?
Children become tribal...They run rampant through the streets causing havok. They don't think of the future or tomorrow... only here and now.
Some of them form little gangs and tribe's. This is where they find protection. This is where they find strenght... This is the only family they can cling to.
Others wonder aimlessly around seeking food and shelter... They are the ones that end up dead.
The City has become a violent place especially since the Loco's toke over. They kill and ruin what ever they can and take for others to please themselves. They need to be stopped!

Tin Man: The Outer Zone
Once a beautiful, thriving world with magic and adventure around every corner, the Outer Zone is now in ruins. Good things have been twisted, the wicked have flourished and the unknowns are putting together their own agenda.
In the streets, Tin men, longcoats and the resistance must find a way to make peace or war upon the other, for only one ideology can stand.
In the palace, who is the ruler? The displaced Queen or the recently clear-headed usurper? Who is the heir, the brave DG or the sister with a list of sins? [ In every town, revival is happening. But can the residents of the Oz unite before all descends into madness and chaos? And will it come to little to late.
For the hearts of all are corrupted and light is fractured by the shadows in the hearts of men.

Introduction
Inheritance: Origins is based off of Paolini's Inheritance Cycle but takes place two thousand years before the events in the books. The dragon riders are at the height of their power, united and numerous. There are few powers in existence that can rival theirs and all the land is at peace under their vigilant watch and wise guidance.
But Alagaesia is a large place, populated by races diverse and dissimilar. The Riders themselves are a large organization, filled with different and disparate people and personalities.
All may not be as tranquil it seems…
Features
This RPG is designed for beginner-level roleplayers and is part of a roleplay and social community called RPG Omniboard. The Omniboard mostly hosts advanced-level RPs, but Origins was opened up so that beginners could have a place in the forum to participate and learn as well. So if you're a beginner or someone looking to improve your RP skills with patient and helpful advanced RPers, then come check Origins out.
The RP is always accepting of advanced RPers willing to help out beginners in a constructive way, too. Don't think because Origins is a beginner RP that it's any different than an advanced one. We run it exactly the same--it has a good plotline and interesting characters.
Finally, and the perhaps best, feature is that because of the time setting of the story, we don't have to limit the number of RPers allowed to have the more popular character types. Riders, Elves, Werecats, Shades, etc. will always be available to chose for your character. So everyone who wants to RP a Rider but can't get one on other RPG sites for one reason or another, you won't run into that frustrating problem on Origins!

Appearance: Atra Levina Halland is smaller than the average elf, only standing 5'4. She weighs about 134 pounds, though her skin color is different than an other elf. It is a deep shade of dark brown, a mix of chocolate brown and black. It makes her an oddity in the elven race, but they just assume it comes from her human mother's side. Levina is slim and lithe, with a build for running and not strength.
Levina's hair is long and white, rippling down her back to her waist. The color is interesting, a milky, creamy white streaked with red. It is slightly curly, wavy and soft. Her eyebrows are high and arched, lightly colored against her dark skin.
Th elf's eyes are almond shaped and deep gray in color, flecked with bits of brown and green. Large and wide, they take in anything and everything that goes on around her. They flash dangerously darker when she gets angry, but soften in color when she is relaxed and happy.
Levina's name literaly means "Dark Lightning" in the language of the place her mother came from. She was most likely named that from the shade of her skin, the color of her hair, and the small, lightning-shaped white amrk on her ankle.
Personality: Atra Levina isn't the nicest person in the world, but she has her moments. Somewhat shy, Levina doesn't like being around a lot of people. She reads a whole lot, and absolutely hates when someone is illiterate or unkind to books.
Levina isn't necessarily a mean person, she just believes the Empire has the right idea, and the Varden is wrong. She doesn't have many friends, being both shy and hard to talk to. If you get her on a subject of a favorite poem or story, she brightens up and can talk for hours. Levina can be sarky at times, but not often. She prefers to just not talk at all.
If Levina doesn't like someone, she simply ignores them. If they push the matter, she'll be extremely mad and say some extremely mean things. The elf is capable of fighting, but often doesn't. She uses magic, but isn't exactly skilled in it, though can do simple spells. She doesn't use magic on other people, unless they really, really deserve it.
Weapon: Levina owns a long sword, the blade is silver with an inscribed lightning bolt near the hilt. The hilt is golden with a small inlaid piece of amber. She also has a lage white bow, with matching white arrows.
History: Atra Levina Halland was born to Savhanna Dyne and Kirosne Halland. Her father was an elf, and her mother was a human, making her a half-elf. Levina learned the history of both her people, how to use a bow and arrows, and how to use a sword. Her father also taught her how to sing weapons and other supplies out of the trees, but she was not skilled with that. Levina loved to talk to animals, she had a gift with them.
One day, while she and her father and mother were having a picnic on the border of Du Weldenvarden; near her mother's birth-village, bandits attacked them. Her mother pushed Levina in a bush, and while she was hiding, her mother was killed. Her father left Levina, thinking she was dead, to track down and kill the bandits in revenge. Levina came out of the bush scrtached up and scared, trying to revive her mother, but couldn't. Her mother's last words were, "Do what you think is right, not what anyone else thinks.."
She raised herself in that very same forest, learning to communicate with animals. Being an elf, she could do magic, though she was not skilled at it. She became like a wild girl, white hair growing long and wild, a feral gleam in her blue eyes. When she was old enough to fend for herself, she went out into the world. She learned the history of the Empire, deciding they had the right idea. She know trains and lives with them.

RP Sample: (Other site) Mist walked through the forest, pushing through lush green grass and thick tree trunks. Ice-blue eyes flicked back and forth, making sure no one was nearby and no one was threatening. Sighing, the werecat plopped herself down on the ground. She reached into her pack, pulling out a softlly thick blanket. It was soft green, interwoven with fawn-brown leaves. Laying it down, she gathered twigs and sticks. Ina a few minutes she had a roaring fire going, and she warmed her ahnds ove it. Pulling out her beloved dagger, she shifted into cat form. Short blonde hair rippled and grew, and soon she was a small silver bengal cat. Taking the dagger between her teeth, Mist raced through the woods. Coming upon a warren of rabbits, she hsifted back into human.
Back in her camp, with a largish rabbit roasting over a merry fire, Mist lay on her blanket. A small pillow was under the girl's head, and she stared at the starry sky. Sighing, she pulled herself upright. Suddenly a twig snapped. Whipping around, dagger in her hand, Mist looked around. "Who's there?" she hissed

Esivar tilted his head to the side as she spoke aloud of something he couldnt understand. She was murmering on the air and was creating confusion in the mind of the elf. He looked up then frowned supressing a thought.

"Skorpio?" Bella looked about, confused. Where was he? Bella couldn't sense him...so how was his voice ringing in her head? Was he just speaking with her within the catacombs of her mind?
No.
Not from how some passing fishermen looked all confused. Skorpio was with her right then....somehow.

(the varden aren't in surda. DO you mean The king of Surda which is not yet decided is sending supplies to Teirm and then you hopping on and sending to The varden's hiding place.)
Just then a lowly rigged old ship with tattered sail approached through the morning mist. Then a voice like skorpio's was heard. DO not fear Bella my love. It is i. you remember when we were both outcasts and with romance we found. you saw a vision in the hadarac desert. I protected you and then when i found you were being captured by the Empire i went miraculously to save you and then with all my spectacular deeds i was made king and tried to make you my queen but alas they saw you still as an outcast. In my opinion we are both outcasts still with different personalitys and appearances from all other elves. SKorpio said although he was not there.

Orion gazed back at Skorpio wearily. Skorpio gazed back. Then with a sudden outrage Orion let out a big Emerald flame to them but skorpio stopped it with magic to avoid harming them. He looked over to Hakan to see him rattling about with obvious flames dancing in his mouth. So then Skorpio turned to Amara. He wondered if she knew about her dragon. It hatched awhile ago while Amara was asleep then wandered off some place. Most likely here as where most dragons are called upon. Nephew and Amara we are all Riders. All on different sides. We need to work together and destroy the evil king. Who is Galbatorix's Son. He said in another booming voice Orion backing it up.
